Major wallworks by Peter Wegner were recently exhibited at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Dunedin Public Art Gallery in New Zealand. Guillotine of Sunlight, Guillotine of Shade at SFMOMA consisted of double-sided "wall" of stacked paper. Composed of over 1.4 million sheets in forty-one colors, it is the most chromatically complex and ambitious paper work to date.

Terra Firma Incognita, at the Dunedin Public Art Gallery, fully occupied the museum's main wall. Two thousand circular disks, each an enlarged detail from a physical relief map of the world, were pinned to the wall forming a radiating circular arrangement suggesting various metaphorical associations - an island in a vast sea, a physical explosion glimpsed in progress, a rising or setting sun.
